MLB Power Pros is a baseball video game. It is part of the traditionally Japan-only Jikkyō Powerful Pro Yakyū series of video games, and is the first game in the series to be released outside of Japan. A sequel, MLB Power Pros 2008, came out on the next year.

Emulation Information
Controller Map Overlap
MLB Power Pros is capable of using both GameCube controllers and Wii Remotes. If a physical controller is set to emulate both a GameCube Controller and a Wii Remote concurrently, it will operate both devices at the same time. To fix, migrate controls to use separate physical controllers.
Problems
Banner Does Not Save
This game's banner does not save properly, resulting in a 0KB file. The game itself does not suffer from this - its save still works properly. While this may affect the gamelist, it also affects emulation slightly. When viewing MLB Power Pros save file (or its sequels) in the Wii System Menu, it will show up improperly. Refer issue 5387. Fixed by 5.0-6907.

I will say that I am not a big sports gamer and love to play RPGs normally.
I decided to pick up the game after reading reviews from other sites. The game is not simple by any stretch of the imagination. I have not used the Wii-mote implimented features at all.I like that you are able to create your own playing by going through their college life (though it can be frustrating at times). I am just starting up the season mode as well.I find fielding to be way too hard for me at this point in time, so I allow the computer to do it for me.
I must have spent well over 50 hours already on the game just fiddling around with it. It is the Wii game I have played the most and I haven't played a game for this long for a very long time.It is well worth the money, if you are looking for an in-depth experience. The graphics aren't great, but I am not looking for graphics in a game. The game play is very solid.Highly recommended, just don't expect to do much with the Wii-mote. I found the game quite fun, the commentating is horrible, it seems like they don't understand what baseball quite is, but the gameplay is fun and exciting. It is definitely an improvement to wii sports baseball.
If you are looking at the 'career' and 'season' options as a reason to buy it, don't. The career mode is a joke, you will spend more time skipping through conversations than actually playing. The season is fun, if you like to do a fantasy draft that is an option. But once again, there are fake characters that won't stop talking, and you have to skip through all of that.
Overall it is a 4-5, because 2 player is fun and exciting. It does have all the real players except for Barry Bonds.
